3 dead in separate fires in Rizal
LUCENA CITY — Three people died in separate fire incidents on Sunday, May 4, in Antipolo City and Cainta town, both in Rizal province, police reported.
A report from the Region 4A police said the fatalities in the Antipolo City fire were identified as “Adela,” 39, and “Ellie Lishel,” 13. Authorities did not disclose the relationship between the two victims.
The fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. in Barangay Munting Dilao and was declared out by 7:35 a.m. Both victims were reportedly trapped inside the burning house. The estimated property damage was pegged at ₱4.8 million.
In Cainta, the fatality was identified as “Deljane,” 48. The fire started around 5:45 a.m. in the victim’s residence, which was made of light materials and located inside a subdivision in Barangay San Isidro. Police said the victim was found dead in a second-floor room, where he was trapped. Estimated damage was placed at ₱1.5 million.
There was no immediate information on the whereabouts of the victims’ families at the time of the incidents. No other casualties or properties were reported affected in either blaze.
Fire investigators in Antipolo City and Cainta are still determining the cause of the fires.
