Easterlies to bring rain over parts of Visayas, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies are forecast to bring rain over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

“In Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao regions, due to easterlies, we can expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers,” Pagasa weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said in Filipino in a morning forecast.
“As for Palawan, the rest of the Visayas, and Mindanao, we can expect clear weather but expect heat, especially in the afternoon and evening, mixed with rain,” she added.

The entire Luzon, on the other hand, is also expected to have generally fair weather with hot and humid weather, as well as chances of rain in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure area was also spotted 455 kilometers north of Palawan, but is already expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Tuesday morning, Dominguez said
It is not expected to have any effects on the country.
Pagasa said the temperature range in key cities/areas across the country for Tuesday will be:
Metro Manila: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
Baguio City: 18 to 26 degrees Celsius
Laoag City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
Tuguegarao: 27 to 37 degrees Celsius
Legazpi City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Tagaytay: 23 to 30 degrees Celsius
Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 31 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Cebu: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
Zamboanga City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
Davao City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
