MANILA, Philippines — A 61-year-old woman was killed after two sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and a sedan hit her in Quezon City, police said on Friday.

According to a statement from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the incident happened at the corner of Illinois Street and Aurora Boulevard in Barangay Silangan last Saturday, May 17.

Closed-circuit television camera footage released by the QCPD showed a black SUV initially hitting the woman, followed shortly by a white SUV, then by a sedan.

“The QCPD is continuing its investigation and follow-up operations to identify the drivers of the black and white SUVs who immediately fled the scene after the incident,” the police said.

Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan was arrested, according to the QCPD Public Information Office in a Viber message to reporters.

The drivers may face a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, according to the QCPD.
