MANILA, Philippines – Illegal drugs worth an estimated P1 million were seized, and 29 individuals were arrested in a two-day crackdown by the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A).
Authorities seized 45.79 grams of methamphetamine and 26.31 grams of marijuana after two separate operations in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region on June 10 and 11, PRO 4A said in a statement on Wednesday.
The operations also led to the arrest of five “high-value” suspects and 24 “street-level”pushers.
PRO 4A did not detail in which provinces the operations specifically took place.
The regional police took custody of the confiscated drugs and the arrested suspects, who will face a formal complaint for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act. (Ryanna Aquino, INQUIRER.net intern)
