MANILA, Philippines — Some P7.9 million worth of kush was seized by the Bureau of Customs – Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) in an inspection in Pasay, according to the agency on Sunday.
The BOC said that the 5.703 kilograms of high-grade variant of marijuana concealed in shipments had an estimated value of P7,984,200.

“The parcels, consigned to different recipients, were flagged during inspection operations at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City,” the BOC said in a statement.
The agency added that the individuals involved in concealing the parcels will face charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Republic Act No. 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
The BOC noted that the confiscated parcels were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to keep the community safe from the dangers of illegal drugs.
